About 1 Body Fitness

You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.” (1Cor. 6:20, NIV)

As a mother, I have come to understand that God has given me one body to do many things. My ultimate goal with that one body is to glorify our Lord; in order to do so I need to make sure that my body is functioning properly for the tasks I have to do. That is where a well rounded fitness program comes in.

During a Mommy Fit class, mothers participate with their children in a fun and effective interval training program. In 45-50 minutes women will target all of the major muscles in their body as well as increase their heart rate to facilitate muscle development and cardiovascular endurance. You will finish class feeling refreshed, empowered and ready to take on your to-do list with gusto!

Play-lates is a fun resistance training workout that will help you sculpt long lean muscles and a strong core.  Children from 6 months to 3 years of age can actually be used as resitance in most of the exercises.  Or they may choose to play with the toys in the workout area.  The exercises in this program can be adapted for any fitness level including prenatal women.

In a nutshell I am a military wife and mom of three.  We are an active family, but can often be caught yelling at the TV on Saturday afternoons in the fall!  I have always been "into" fitness.  I hold a degree in Sports and Fitness Management from Troy University and a group exercise certification from the National Exercise Trainers Association with specialty certification in pre- and post-natal fitness.  I am an accomplished gymnast, dancer and runner; I am also CPR and first aid certified a La Leche League Leader and training to become a Certified Lactation Counselor.  I really like to focus on the technique of an exercise to get the full benefit, but above all else I like to make fitness fun and an integral part of everyday life so that it doesn't seem so much like a workout and more like a lifestyle.
Me and my 3 angels!  The back of that shirt says "Try to keep up!"

  1. I could feel you since as a mother, my priority other than my kids is to maintain a healthy and fit body. I envy you though because you have much time to exercise unlike me, who depends solely on coolsculpting. Althouhg it removes my excess body fats, still I am looking forward to having a quality time to really workout too.
